New Chrysler Pacifica Gets Sleek Black Exterior

Minivans aren’t exactly known for a sporty look. This is to be expected considering the vehicle segment is intended as a family vehicle. However, FCA US LLC is offering a new look to the minivan with the S Appearance Package for the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica S.

The S Appearance Package is an additional cost, and comes with a nearly all black trim. Even the 20-inch wheels are decked in the color of night. The result is a minivan with an aggressive and atypical look for a vehicle of its class.

Other components, such as the grille and rear valence, also receive a glossy black paintwork. There is even more black in the interior. The seats and stitching on the steering wheel and instrument panel are clad in light grey accents. Everything else, though, is black. That includes the center console, A-pillar trims, light bezels, visors, headliner, and overhead console.

Other updates beyond the aesthetics include the addition of a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.

The 2018 Chrysler Pacifica S Appearance Package should make its debut later in the year. The package will be available for order at dealerships a short time later.

It’s also worth noting that the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica will be getting the all-new Android Auto®, which will be replacing the current Uconnect® infotainment system. A few other FCA US LLC models will be getting this update as well, including the 2018 Dodge Durango, the 2018 Jeep® Wrangler, and 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. All 2018 RAM pickups will be getting the system as well.
